Comprehensive Environmental Assessments

At Celtic Mold Assessments, LLC, we provide unbiased, third-party inspections. Because we do not perform remediation (cleanup), you can trust that our reports are objective and purely in your best interest.

Mold Inspection & Assessment

Suspect a problem? One of our NYS Licensed Mold Assessors will conduct a rigorous inspection of the area(s) of concern before any remediation takes place. We utilize moisture mapping and visual diagnostics to identify the root cause of the growth.

Following the inspection, you will receive a legally compliant, detailed written report that includes:

  • Supporting Photos: Visual evidence of the findings.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Identification of moisture sources (humidity, leaks, ventilation issues).
  • Remediation Protocols: A step-by-step guide for a remediation contractor to follow, ensuring the job is done right.
  • Lab Reports: (If sampling was applicable).

Note: We prioritize your budget and honesty. Sampling is only performed when necessary; in most cases, a thorough visual inspection is sufficient to write a protocol.

Post-Remediation Clearance

Don’t let contractors close up walls until you know the mold is gone. One of our NYS Licensed Mold Assessors will conduct a critical inspection of the area(s) where remediation took place prior to any build-back or repairs.

  • Passed Inspection: You will receive a detailed Written Clearance Report officially certifying the area is safe for reconstruction.
  • Failed Inspection: If standards are not met, we issue a Written Statement of Findings with specific recommendations on what the remediator must correct before you pay them.

Mold Testing & Sampling

While not always mandatory during an initial inspection, mold testing is a valuable tool when specific health concerns are present or when “invisible” mold is suspected.

Our team recommends testing only when it adds meaningful insight to the assessment process, such as:

  • Identifying specific mold species (to address allergen/toxicity concerns).
  • Determining spore counts in the air compared to the outdoors.
  • Verifying if mold has spread to HVAC systems or other rooms.

Asbestos Inspection & Sampling

Planning a renovation or demolition? Safety comes first. NYS Code Rule 56 mandates that before any building materials known or suspected to contain asbestos can be disturbed, they must first be tested.

We provide certified sampling for:

  • Renovation Projects: Kitchens, bathrooms, and flooring updates.
  • Damage Assessments: Materials affected by mold, water, fire, or soot damage.
  • Total Demolition: Full-site surveys.
