Mold Inspection & Assessment
When something feels off in your home, clarity matters.
John personally conducts a detailed inspection of the areas of concern using visual diagnostics, moisture mapping, and field experience to identify not just what is happening, but why it is happening.
After the inspection, you receive a fully compliant written report designed to give you confidence and direction.
Your report includes:
- Supporting Photos: Clear visual documentation of findings and affected areas.
- Root Cause Analysis: Identification of moisture sources such as leaks, humidity, ventilation issues, or building envelope concerns.
- Remediation Protocols: A structured, step-by-step protocol intended for remediation contractors to follow correctly and completely.
- Lab Reports: (If sampling was applicable). Only included when testing is necessary to support findings or answer specific concerns.
Note: We do not over-test. In many cases, a thorough visual and moisture-based assessment provides everything needed to make informed decisions.
Post-Remediation Clearance
Remediation is only complete when it has been properly verified.
John returns after remediation work is completed, but before reconstruction begins, to confirm that conditions meet required standards. This process ensures accountability from start to finish and protects homeowners from incomplete or improper remediation work.
- Passed Inspection: If the space passes inspection, you receive a formal Clearance Report confirming the area is safe for rebuild.
- Failed Inspection: If issues remain, a detailed Findings Report is issued outlining exactly what must be corrected before work can continue.
Mold Testing & Sampling
Testing is not always required, but when it is, it provides valuable clarity.
Sampling is recommended only when it meaningfully contributes to understanding the home environment, such as:
- Identifying specific mold types when health sensitivities are a concern.
- Comparing indoor air quality to outdoor baseline conditions.
- Evaluating whether mold has spread beyond visible areas or into HVAC systems.
Asbestos Inspection & Sampling
Planning a renovation or demolition? Safety comes first. NYS Code Rule 56 mandates that before any building materials known or suspected to contain asbestos can be disturbed, they must first be tested.
We provide certified sampling for:
- Renovation Projects: Kitchens, bathrooms, and flooring updates.
- Damage Assessments: Materials affected by mold, water, fire, or soot damage.
- Total Demolition: Full-site surveys.
